Black of Black’s Salt Fish Market and Café, 4883 MacArthur Boulevard and
his architect will make a presentation on the design concept for the
building. (This is for information only, there is no need for a vote).
BZA #17139 - Linda and Thomas Waltz - 4529 Lowell Street NW. Special
exception to allow an addition to an existing single dwelling not
meeting the side yard requirements.
BZA #17144 - Ken Golding at 5519 Carolina Place NW asking for a
special exception from rear-yard requirements to add a family room to
the rear of a single family residence. The addition would project about
four feet into the required rear-yard setback. With the addition, the
house would still occupy only 33 percent of the trapezoidal-shaped lot
(below the 40 percent maximum.)
Colleen Smith Hawkinson, DDOT Ward 3 Transportation Planner, will
discuss submissions from the ANC over the last year on traffic
improvement requests for roads, alleys and sidewalks in our ANC.
Steven Buckman, Esq. will represent Frank Economides, new owner
of Boathouse Restaurant (formerly Ilija’s), to discuss the sale and
plans for the restaurant.
