1 Marine Corps Marathon – Presentation / Seeking permission to use
Palisades streets for October 2007 race

Due to reconstruction in Rock Creek Park the marathon needs to
take a different route this year only. Their proposal is to come off of Key
Bridge in about Mile 3 of the race, exit left onto Canal Road in the
right-hand lanes of Canal, to MacArthur. Then proceed out MacArthur to
Reservoir on the left, go left down Reservoir to Canal Road, and return by
Canal Road in the right-hand lane (passing outbound runners who would be on
the left) to Whitehurst Freeway. Race path should be clear by mid-morning.

Review of two bus shelter accidents on MacArthur Boulevard at
Cathedral

3 Liquor License Renewals – Starland and DC Boathouse

4 Presentation / VOTE: (User Variance) pursuant to 11 DCMR §
3103.2, for a use variance to operate a fast-food restaurant (Chen's) under
subsection 701.4(q), in the C-1 District at premises 5117 MacArthur
Boulevard, N.W. (Square 1419, Lot 50).
